Obituary for Craig S. Donahue

Craig S. Donahue of Beverly, 50, died on Thursday, February 23, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Craig was born in Beverly, MA and was the son of the late Edward D. Donahue and the late Marie F. Donahue. He graduated from Beverly High School in 1979, and was employed for many years with Stahl (USA) Inc. He was the loving husband of Charlene Caron Donahue with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Caitlin M. Donahue and Meghan L. Donahue. Caitlin is currently a junior at Framingham State University and Meghan is a senior at Beverly High School.

Craig was a passionate gardener, with a love for the outdoors. He was also an avid runner and participated in numerous 10ks runs. He loved spending time with his family and walking along the local trails with his brother, Mark.

Craig is survived by his two sisters, Sheila Donahue Varrell and her husband Carl of Marblehead, Christine Donahue Annese and her husband Edward of Boxford, and two brothers, Mark Donahue of Beverly and Edward Donahue Jr. of Amesbury. He also leaves behind many adoring nieces, one nephew and his cat, Peanut. Craig is also survived by several playful and loving great nieces and nephews. Craig will be truly missed by all of his extended family as well as his close friends.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Craig’s memory to the Sophia Gordon Cancer Center, at Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd. Burlington, MA 01803.
