Obituary for David C. Provost

On July 25th, David passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, from pancreatic cancer.

Born in Arlington, MA, on February 7th, 1950, David was the youngest of Robert and Rose Provost’s five children. Growing up in Arlington, David loved being with friends at Spy Pond and spending summers with his extended family at Humarock Beach. He was an avid sports fan, and was always devoted to the Boston Red Sox. That love of sports extended to coaching youth soccer teams for many years. David graduated from Boston College in 1972 and had a long career in medical equipment sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne (Pariseau) ; his three children, David, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Raleigh, NC, Brian and his wife Heather, of Huntersville, NC, and his daughter Vanessa Uliano (LaRochelle) and her husband Joseph, of Peabody, MA; and by his five grandchildren, Abigail, Juliet, Griffin, Lorenzo and Cassius.

He is also survived by his three siblings, Nancy Collins, Margaret Dwyer, and Neil Provost and by his wife’s sisters Pat McCargar, Judith Holt and Joy Wilczek.

Visiting hours at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street North Beverly, will be held Tuesday from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Lustgarten Foundation (www.lustgarten.org) in support of their pancreatic cancer research.
