Obituary for Dorothy E. Robbins

Wilmington - Dorothy E. (Fay) Robbins 76, former wife of the late
Carroll L. Robbins, died Friday, December 18, 2015 peacefully at home
surrounded by her daughters.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the
late Haveland A. and Mary Ann (McGann) Fay. She was raised in Beverly
before moving to Wilmington forty five years ago. She graduated from
Northern Essex Community College at the top of her class, where she
earned her degree as a registered nurse.
Dottie Robbins was a loving
mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her children and
grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and had been to such places as the
Holy Land, England, Scotland and Ireland. Dottie also enjoyed the
ocean. She enjoyed music throughout her life and as a young woman,
played the piano and accordion.
Surviving her are her two daughters,
Lisa M. O’Connor and her husband, Frederick J. III of Groveland and
Beth Ann Robbins and her companion, Michael Ridings of Wilmington, two
grandchildren, Christian O’Connor and Sarah O’Connor of Groveland, two
sisters, Mary Tomayko and her husband, Raymond of Bradenton, FL and
Lorraine Cantore and her late husband, Robert of Ellentown, FL and her
longtime friend, Annette Logan of Burlington.
Her funeral Mass will be
celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Thursday, December 24,
2015 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting
hours are at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly,
Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park,
