Obituary for Eldora Rose Trefry

Eldora Rose (Chesley) Trefry, 96, daughter of Albert and Claire Chesley, passed away on May 14th surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly at Kaplan House in Danvers.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John, in 1988; two sisters, Lenore MacGown and Claire Carlson. She is survived by a son, John, and his companion Jane Williamson; a daughter Sandra and her husband George Lemire of Danvers. And former daughter-in-law, Sandra Trefry of Salem and her companion, Peter Gibney.
Her loving grandchildren are Scott Trefry and his wife Sharon; Christine (Trefry) Chane, both of Danvers and Cynthia (Trefry) Rollins and her husband Timothy of Georgetown; Matthew Lemire of Beverly and Janice (Lemire) Palmer and her husband, Jesse of Nashua, NH.
Eldora loved her great-grandchildren; Curtis, Brian, Jason, Gina, Jeffrey, Michaela, Katelyn, Kevin, Timothy, Cody, Trinity, Noah, Kayli, Patrick and Rileigh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She could always be seen with family and friends in her purple hat, pink coat and lavender sneakers. She enjoyed spending the holidays with her family and loved collecting lighthouses. Many family get togethers were shared around the family fireplace and grill in Danvers. She also loved crossword puzzles, debating with anyone, meeting with her prayer groups and baking pies.
A celebration of life will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 556 Cabot St., Beverly, Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Campbell, Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 9 Dane Street, Beverly (downtown location) Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Internment will be in the North Beverly Cemetery along side her husband, girl friend Hilda and Brother-in-law, Alfred. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Danvers Senior Center, 25 Stone St., Danvers, MA 01923 or Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
