Obituary for Elizabeth Kendall Frost

Elizabeth Kendall (Enos) Frost, 93, of Beverly died on August 30th at Putnam Farm in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. Betty was the daughter of Charlotte K. (Mooney) and Eben Francis Enos, Jr.

Born in Salem, Betty lived in Beverly during most of her life and was a lifelong member of the Second Congregational Church in North Beverly. She and her husband Ray celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in December, 2011.

Betty received an RN degree from the Salem Hospital School of Nursing in 1940 and became a highly sought-after Private Duty Nurse before starting a family.

Betty was a gifted homemaker and Mother and an active volunteer. She worked with special needs students in the public schools and started an ongoing free blood pressure clinic where Seniors in North Beverly get health monitoring, medical information, and caring socialization. With husband Ray, she ran support groups for Prostate Cancer survivors at Beverly Hospital.

Betty was a talented seamstress and knitter and won prizes for her shell art creations. She also became an expert in genealogy and traced some of her family lines back more than 12 centuries.

Above all, Betty was an unfailingly kind and caring person who benefitted family, friends and even strangers with her sensitive listening and her generous nature.

Betty is survived by her husband, Raymond of Beverly; her son William R. Frost of Ipswich, MA; her daughter Charlotte Feierman of Westtown, PA, and her daughter Jane K. Frost of Sandwich, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
