Obituary for Ellen M. Crosby

Ellen M. (Deinstadt) Crosby, 69, passed away June 28, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Beverly, she is daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma (Jones) Deinstadt.

Ellen grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1959. She then served in the United States Army. For 19 years, Ellen worked in assembly at the Sylvania Company. Ellen loved to play cards, Scrabble and Yahtzee. She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. Most of all Ellen loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Shean Crosby of East Millinocket, ME, Lori Glazier and her husband Andrew of Beverly, Clayton Crosby and his companion of Dudley, and Lisa Stallsmith and her husband Barry of Beverly; two sisters: Patricia Frederikson and her husband Stanley of Wolfboro, NH, and Sally Cole and her companion Michael Chouinard of Ipswich; ten grandchildren: Ashley Cammarata of Beverly, Lindsay Glazier of Beverly, Kurt, Benjamin and Nicole Stallsmith of Beverly, Andrew Fortin of Mattawamkeag, ME, Kierstan Crosby of East Millinocket, ME, Lindsey Crosby of Worcester, Corey Crosby of New Mexico and Clayton Crosby Jr. of Lincoln, ME; and several nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Calvary Chapel North Shore Church, 352 Andover Street, Danvers, on Friday at 1:00P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be in the North Beverly Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ellen’s Memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
