Mr. Frank H. Trefry 93, formerly of Beverly, beloved husband of Arlene M. (Shepard) Trefry, died Monday evening, April 18, 2011 at the Hunt Nursing & Retirement Home in Danvers.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Mabel (Saunders) Trefry.
Mr. Trefry had been self employed for many years as a painter and contractor in the North Shore area until the time of his retirement.
A resident of Beverly prior to moving to Hamilton over forty years ago, he was a longtime member of the Beverly Church of the Nazarene where he served as an usher for over twenty five years. He was a loving family man and friend who enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Beverly Haneberg of Vanlue, OH, Janet Tennehan of Amesbury, Linda Anne Eaton and her husband, Thomas of Ipswich and Lois Corrigan and her husband, Paul of Burlington, CT, a son, Frank H. Trefry Jr. of Kissimmee, FL, two step-sons, Douglas S. Grant and Donald S. Grant both of Peabody, twenty grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a brother, Sam Trefry of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Frank’s memory to the Douglas Camp Meeting Association, P.O.
