Beverly - Gena M. (Lantych) Gabalis 39, beloved wife of Michael S. Gabalis, and mother of eight year old twins, Kaylee and Kelsey, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at home.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of John E. and Catherine M. (Santoro) Lantych of Danvers. She received her education in the Beverly School system and graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1995. She continued her education at the North Shore Community College where she earned her degree.
Gena had dedicated her life to raising her family and twin daughters. Prior to that she worked as a pre-school teacher at the Jewish Community Center in Marblehead.
A lifelong resident of Beverly, Gena was exceptionally creative and had a special talent for sewing and knitting. In addition, she designed and sold her own creations. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and husband with whom she shared twenty years of friendship and nine years of marriage, she is survived by her twin daughters, Kaylee and Kelsey Gabalis of Beverly, her sister, Krista Stellato and her husband, Sean of Danvers, a sister-in-law, Jennifer Rocco and her husband, Anthony of Peabody, her father-in-law, Steven Gabalis of Beverly, three nieces, Gianna, Sophia and Giulietta, a nephew, Noah Rocco and her Grandparents, Peter and Eleanor Santoro.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 672 Hale Street, Beverly Farms, Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial will be private.
