Obituary for James N. LeBlanc

Mr. James N. LeBlanc 66, beloved husband of Sharon Ann (McCarthy) LeBlanc, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Nelson and Augustine M. (Robichaud) LeBlanc. He was raised in Medford and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Merrimack College and his Master’s Degree from Northeastern University. He had also attended Lasalette Seminary in Altamont, NY.
Mr. LeBlanc had been employed for many years as a mathematics teacher at Burlington High School until the time of his retirement. He also worked as a truck driver and dispatcher for Crystal Motors in Wakefield.
Affectionately known as “Big Jim”, he had volunteered as a little league coach, youth soccer coach, youth Hockey coach and was the founder of the Hamilton-Wenham Girl’s Youth Kickball League. He was an avid golfer, a member of the LaSalette community in Ipswich and a master storyteller.
James was a confident, joyful, selfless, generous man who used his storytelling and humor to enrich the lives of everyone he met with unconditional love.
In addition to his loving wife, with whom he shared twenty years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Danielle LeBlanc and her partner, France Mahan, a son, Brendan LeBlanc and his wife, Stephanie, two grandchildren, Anabel and Sam LeBlanc, a twin sister, Jane Hughes and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Jessica LeBlanc and husband of the late Jayne (Murray) LeBlanc.
His memorial service will be held at the Topsfield Fairgrounds, 4H Building, Rte. 1, Topsfield, Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested, there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements by the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
