Obituary for Jane M. Moy

- Jane M. (Stauffacher) Moy, age 76 years, loving and cherished wife of Forrest “Woody” Moy with whom she shared 51 years of marriage, died, embraced by the love of her family, on Saturday, January 22, following years of the limitations from Alzheimer's disease. Born in Monroe, Wisconsin on November 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Freida Mae (Klemm) Stauffacher.

Jane was a graduate of Monroe High School and Ripon College, where she met her husband. Before moving to Topsfield in 1971, Jane lived in the Chicago area. She enriched the lives of not only her family, as a wife and mother, but also was a high school math teacher and a computer programmer at Parker Brothers in Salem for eighteen years. Jane was an avid gardener, with her other passions for knitting, sewing, ceramics, crafts, cross word puzzles, baking, travel, the beach, and the simple joys of life.

Surviving her in addition to her husband is her daughter, Ellen J. Moy DeRosa of Atkinson, NH; her sister, Faye Ford of Burlington, WI; her grandson, Jonathan J. DeRosa of Atkinson, NH; her many nieces and nephews; her aunt, Betty Daley of Calgary, Canada; her brothers-in-law, Grant Moy and his wife Celvia, and Walter Moy and his wife Miranda; as well as her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Leong, all in Chicago, IL and Anna Yee, Seattle WA

Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Her Life and memorial service will be held at a later date in Chicago, IL.
