Obituary for Joan Ann Page

Mrs. Joan A. Page, passed away Wednesday at the Beverly Hospital, she was 78. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anita (Angelini) Pizzello. She was a graduate of Beverly High School and went on to further her studies at Dean Junior College earning an associates degree in Psychology. A registered nurse, she received her LPN from Beverly Hospital and remained on staff for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late W. Howard Page, together they celebrated 49 years of marriage. Following her retirement, together they enjoyed traveling, most notably to Bali, New Zealand and other exotic locales. Joan also enjoyed knitting, ceramics and rug making.
She is survived by her son William A. Page and his wife Anne Marie of Ipswich and her daughter, Patti-Ann Asaro of Gloucester. Loving grandmother of Olivia Asaro, Eileen Page and Jennifer Page. Sister of Patricia Pelonzi and her husband Alphonse of Beverly and the late Richard Pizzello. She is also survived by her niece Ann-Elizabeth Roy and her husband David and a nephew Michael Pelonzi and his wife Lisa.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly Saturday, Dec. 31st at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held Friday, Dec. 30th from 4 to 7PM in the Campbell-Lee, Moody and Russell Funeral Home, Dane Street Location, 9 Dane Street Beverly. Interment services will be private. Joan’s family wishes to thank the staff at Emeritus at Cherry Hill, Danvers for the care and devotion shown to her during her stay there.
