BEVERLY – Mrs. Josephine Emilie (Stangel) Finney, age 97 years, formerly of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Ralph D. Finney, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, surrounded by her family at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Boston, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Smith) Stangel.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann T. Tilton and her husband Richard of Georgetown; her step-daughter, Suzanne Finney of Hamilton; her nieces, Dorothy Nickerson and her husband Brad of West Bridgewater, and Lillian Gillis of Randolph; her niece-in-law, Betty Mitchell of West Bridgewater; her grandchildren, David T. Stentiford, Amy E. Stentiford, Elizabeth J. McEnaney, Christopher G. Stentiford, Alan D. Tilton, Andrew M. Tilton and Stephen M. Tilton; her beloved nine great-grandchildren; and several great and grand nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours starting at 11 a.m. prior. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery. I lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Josephine’s memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
