Obituary for Norman E. Gaspar

Norman E. Gaspar, age 73 years, wife of Ruth M. (Tolman) Gaspar, died on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Beverly, he was son of the late Lester and Pearl (Dowlin) Gaspar. He was a lifelong resident of Beverly.

Mr. Gaspar attended Beverly Public Schools. He went on to work for John Vernon Farm and Garden Supply of Danvers, Hood Industries in Marblehead, John Flynn & Sons Leather of Peabody, and retired as Custodian for Masconomet High School of Topsfield. Norman enjoyed rebuilding and tinkering with machinery, he also liked to work in the forest collecting wood for his family. He was a former member of the Beverly Grange.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are his sons, John Gaspar and his wife Penny of New Hampshire, Dwight Gaspar of Beverly, and William Gaspar of Beverly; his brother, Allen Gaspar and his wife Barbara of Newbury; his grandchildren, Randy J. and Jessica L. Gaspar; and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Bartan and Hubert Gaspar.

A Memorial Service will be held privately by the family at a later date. Arrangements by the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New England, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991.
