Obituary for Olive E. Letourneau

DANVERS - Olive E. Letourneau, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 3rd at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, she is the daughter of the late William and Olive Ellen (Steen) Wedgwood.
Olive grew up in Beverly, and was a graduate of Beverly High School, class of 1944. Following high school, she worked at the New England Telephone Company and then worked for many years for Charles Tapley. Olive moved to Danvers 63 years ago and has lived in the same home. Olive was an active member in the Beverly Chapter of TSL, "The Single Life" where she ran many functions including the Dances and the Lunch Bunch. She also enjoyed her times at the Danvers Senior Center where she was a star Bocce player. Most recently she participated in the Pace Program where she continued to stay active. With a quick wit and exceptional sense of humor, Olive was always fun to be around. She made sure she lived each day to the fullest. Olive leaves behind fond memories and great stories.
She was a wonderful Mother who always put her family first. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children: Robert Letourneau and his wife Marie of Maine, Jeanne Usher of Amesbury, Paul Letourneau of Amesbury and Elayne West of Danvers; one brother: William Wedgwood and his wife Mary of Maine; five grandchildren: Elizabeth Usher Curtis, Sandi and Julie Usher, Shawna West and Nathan Letourneau; three great grandchildren: Britany, Michael and Evelyn. She is predeceased by her grandson Erik West.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Saturday at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon.
