Beverly - Rita M. (Ruane-Barber) Petrykowski, 89, beloved wife of Richard H. Petrykowski and the late Albert Barber who was killed in action during the Korean Conflict, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Brookline, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret (Morley) Ruane and step-daughter of the late Michael Cronin. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School.
Mrs. Petrykowski had been employed for many years by the Salem Country Club in Peabody until the time of her retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Maureen Remon and her husband, Frank of Florida, a son, Richard M. Petrykowski and his partner, Diana of Port Townsend, WA, three grandchildren, Keith Remon of Seattle, WA, Eric Remon of Salem and Jean of North Andover and five great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, Saturday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Saturday morning prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.
