Obituary for Robert Parnell Wilson

Mr. Robert Parnell Wilson 67 of Beverly, died Friday, March 02, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Robert Henry and Ruth Mary (Parnell) Wilson. He was raised and educated in Stoneham and graduated from the Franklin Institute in Boston.
An honorably discharged and highly decorated veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Wilson had owned and operated Bob Wilson Electric in Beverly for over thirty years.
A resident of the City of Beverly for the past thirty six years, he was an avid golfer and fly fisherman. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his lifelong friend and former spouse, Linda, their children, Jennifer Newcomer and her husband, John of Beverly and Gregory Wilson and his wife, Carolyn of Amesbury and grandchildren, Julia Newcomer, Benjamin Newcomer and Bradley Wilson, his two brothers, Kevin Wilson of Ft. Meyers, FL and Thomas Wilson of Peabody. He was also the brother of the late Mary Wilson.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot St., Beverly, Monday, March 5, 2012 at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Robert’s memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House or the Vietnam Veterans of America.
