BEVERLY – Ruth I. (Markey) Driscoll Kelleher, 86, beloved wife of the late Francis Driscoll and the late John Kelleher, passed away Tuesday, May 15 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Salem, she is the daughter of the late John W. and Irene (Harrington) Markey.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of Beverly. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, class of 1943 and was a graduate of the first Nursing class at the Beverly Hospital Nursing School, class of 1947. Ruth enjoyed boating and being on the ocean. She loved painting, sunbathing, lobster, having wine with friends and never passed up anything chocolate. Most of all, Ruth loved her family and having fun with her great granddaughter Tiegan.
Surviving Ruth is one son: John Driscoll of Brockton; one daughter: AnnMarie Matney and her husband Douglas of Beverly; one sister: Mary Pyde of Beverly; two grandchildren: Andrea Knight of Beverly and Caitlin Thomas of Hull; and one great granddaughter: Tiegan Eisenhaur of Beverly. She was predeceased by her sons F. William Driscoll, Jr. and Kevin D. Driscoll.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Friday at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Beverly.
