Obituary for Velma A. Rennie

Mrs. Velma A. (Kenney) Rennie 80, beloved wife of the late Edward E. Rennie Sr., died Friday, December 9, 2011 at her home.
Born, raised and educated in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Velma (Osborne) Kenney.
Mrs. Rennie was a resident of Beverly and Wenham for most of her married life before moving to Falmouth in 1991. She then returned to Beverly in 2004 where she has since resided.
Following her marriage to her husband, Edward Sr. in 1951, she dedicated her life to raising her seven sons and later sharing joy with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her seven sons, Edward E. Rennie Jr. of Beverly, James Rennie and his wife, Ann of Beverly, Stephen Rennie and his wife, Ann of North Falmouth, William Rennie and his wife, Wanda of Lubbock, TX, Paul Rennie and his wife, Terri of Glenmore, PA, Thomas Rennie and his wife, Nancy of Rowley and Patrick Rennie and his wife, Tracey of Beverly, fourteen grandchildren, Meagan Grant and her husband, Devin, Nathaniel, Matthew, Andrew, Andrea, Elizabeth, Caroline, Hannah, Madison, Samantha, Allison, Julia, Christina and Joseph Rennie, three great grandchildren, Ava, Lillian and Oliver Grant, one sister, Evelyn Strock of Falmouth and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Jonathan Rennie and sister of the late Francis and Gerard Kenney.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot St., Beverly, Saturday, December 17, at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested there will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Monday at 1 p.m. Arrangements by the Campbell – Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
