Obituary for Vincent F. Dunphy

BEVERLY- Vincent F. Dunphy Jr., 85, husband of Marie. T. (McCarthy) Dunphy, died Tuesday at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following an illness of several months. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, son of the late Vincent F. and Edna M. (Cusick) Dunphy. He lived in Scituate for many years and in Beverly for the past 30 years. Mr. Dunphy was a registered pharmacist and worked at the Liberty Tree Pharmacy in Danvers for many years, CVS, and the Custom Medicine Pharmacenter for his remaining years before retirement. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, class of 1952. Vinnie had many interests including being a collector of coins, he enjoyed gardening and was a fan of the Boston sports teams and also a big fan of Florida State football.

Surviving him in addition to his wife, are two sons, Brian V. Dunphy and his wife Tammy of Gloucester; Barry E. Dunphy and his wife Kristen of Haverhill; two daughters, Susan M. Lynch and her husband Joseph of Peabody; Lynn M. Collins of and her husband Kevin of Newton, NH; One brother, Michael Dunphy of Plymouth, Two sisters, Carole Vickery of Hingham; Patricia Seneski of Scituate; six grandchildren, Erin and Brendan Dunphy both of Beverly, Melissa Carr of Japan; Lauren Carr of Peabody; Peyton and Liam Dunphy both of Haverhill; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert H. and Arthur L. Dunphy.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Monday at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Monday from 9:30 am prior to the Mass. A private burial service will take place at a later date.
