Beverly – Mr. Wesley Earle Primmer 89, beloved husband of the late Blanche M. (Page) Primmer, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Beverly Hospital.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late John and Stella J. (Ramsey) Primmer. He received his education in the Beverly school system and graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1941.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.
Mr. Primmer had been employed for twenty eight years at Maynard Plastics in Salem until the time of his retirement.
A longtime resident of the City of Beverly, he was an avid bowler and member of the Merchant’s Bowling League in Beverly. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him are two daughters, Kathleen M. Curley of Hampstead, NH and Paula L. Bernard and her husband, Gary L. Barton of Sanford, ME, two sons, James E. Primmer and his wife, Rosalind of North Andover and John W. Primmer of Sanford, ME, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother, George M. “Ike” Primmer of Farmington, NH, several nieces and nephews. He was also the great grandfather of Emma Finn, the brother of the late Lucy J. Perry and John P. “Bo” Primmer.
His funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
