William F. Hummrich, age 89 years, husband of the late June (Cloutman) Hummrich, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at home. Born in Lynn, he was son of the late John and Elsie (Stocker) Hummrich. He resided in Beverly for over 20 years.
Mr. Hummrich was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. He served the US Army, during World War II, on an Army Hospital Ship, the “Shamrock.” William worked for General Electric in Lynn as a machinist, manufacturing electric turbines for over 40 years.
Surviving him are his two sons, Richard Hummrich of South Hampton, NY and John Hummrich and his wife Shelli of Lincolnton, NC; a grandson, Leo Hummrich; and nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Charles and Leonard Hummrich.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly on Monday at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Peabody.
