<p>Boylston-Carmen A. (Doiron) Deffely, 89, passed away peacefully at Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston on Sunday, July 22, 2018.&nbsp; She is survived by her children, Janice Chalifoux &amp; husband Robert of Boylston; James O’Keefe of Hilo, HI; Rosemary Keefe of Stafford, VA; and Kathleen O’Keefe of Franklin.&nbsp; She leaves her&nbsp;beloved&nbsp;grandchildren, Amanda Richardson, Dana O’Keefe, Jessica, Joel, and Linette Chalifoux, Kimberly and Mary DiGioia; 10 great-grandchildren,&nbsp;1 great-great grandchild,&nbsp;and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She is pre-deceased by her husbands, John "Mike" O'Keefe and James A.&nbsp;Deffely,&nbsp;her son, Matthew J. Keefe, granddaughter Kathleen Chalifoux, and siblings, George, Charles, Mary, and Anita Doiron.&nbsp;</p><p>Carmen was born in Lewiston, Maine to the late John &amp; Mary (Kenney) Doiron.&nbsp; She graduated from Monmouth, ME High School. In addition to raising her family, Carmen worked for many years as a statistician&nbsp;at&nbsp;the former Metropolitan State Hospital,&nbsp;and served as the long-time office manager at Waltham Dental Center.&nbsp; Carmen held a great interest in history and politics, loved music, and was an avid reader and Scrabble champion.&nbsp; She was known as a&nbsp;generous, outgoing lady with a wicked Irish sense of humor. Carmen spent many happy years in&nbsp;Framingham, then&nbsp;Boylston, and later&nbsp;resided&nbsp;at Corcoran House&nbsp;in Clinton. She was&nbsp;happiest while in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren,and will be forever missed and remembered lovingly as the dedicated matriarch of her family.&nbsp; A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a calling hour prior from 9:30 until 10:30AM.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.&nbsp; Memorial contributions may be made in Carmen’s memory to: Katie's 5K Memorial Scholarship Race,&nbsp;www.katies5k.com&nbsp; Online condolences may be placed at&nbsp;www.philbincomeaufh.com</p><p><br></p>

Boylston-Carmen A.
