Clinton-Theresa M. Jakubowicz, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Leominster Hospital following a brief illness. She is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Claire Freel of Clinton; her adoring nieces and nephews, Susan Guevremont, William Buckley, Sheila Darelius, and Brian Freel; their children, Olivia and Tyler Guevremont; Bryan and Alexandra Buckley; Christopher, Katherine, Mary and Jonathan Freel; many cousins; and dear friends, notably Barabara DiLorenzo. She is pre-deceased by her sister Magdalen Buckley and niece Eileen Buckley.

Theresa was born in Clinton to the late Theofil & Bernice (Wiencek) Jakubowicz. She graduated from Clinton High School and Worcester School of Business Science. Theresa worked as an office clerk for several local companies including Miron Mills, Eastern Isles, Clinton Savings Bank and State Mutual Insurance Company. She was a woman of great faith and devout member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish in Clinton, and St. Richard of Chichester Parish in Sterling. A proud aunt, Theresa was happiest while in the company of her generations of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. There will be no calling hours held. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
