Ruby M. Flint Kinney, aka “Mother Kinney” was born on April 28, 1932 to Rosie Mae and David Flint in Fairfax, AL. Ruby was the oldest of 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She was educated in Alabama public schools. Ruby moved to Boston, MA in the early 1950’s with her two young children, Sarah and James Flint. She began working for Aetna Cleaning Company. She also worked at Tremont Clothing Company as a seamstress, she was a bus monitor, and she retired from being a Personal Care Assistant in 1995. She was also an avid Baseball fan. Her favorite team was the Boston Red Sox. She also loved watching Telemundo TV (although she did not speak any Spanish). Ruby birthed 7 children, and raised her family with love and care. Ruby loved to sing and dance and laugh with her relatives. She was a member of Zion Temple Holy Church and Kingdom Builders. She loved God and was truly a blessing to her family and friends. She enjoyed visits from her best friend, Ms. Eula Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Rose Mae Flint, her sister Louise McCant, Annie Ruth Core, Elizabeth G. Truesdale and her brother Thomas Flint, her son Kenneth Kinney, her grandsons, James (Jimmy) Flint, Milton Dion Flint and Lovell Russell III. She leaves to mourn her brother, Clyde David Flint (Thelma) Fairfield, CA; her children: Sarah Flint of Boston, MA, James Flint of Worcester, MA., Priscilla Flint-Banks (Brother Lo) of Boston, MA., Robert Kinney aka “Brother Kinney” of Boston, MA., Frank Kinney Jr. (Dee) of Atlanta, GA., Lisa Kinney of Boston, MA., Grandchildren; Linda Edge, Thomas Flint, Crystal Flint (Andre), Asia Flint, James Flint Jr., Dominga Martin, Kenya Murray, Kanita Kinney, Kenae Kinney, Robyn Kinney, Regina Kinney, Shahidah Muhammad, Niajah Muhammad, Nathan Kinney, She also leaves to mourn 20 great grandchildren 7 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. ********************************************COVID19*****************Coronavirus*********************** Due to the current pandemic with COVID-19, and the restrictions issued by our State Government, we ask that you please be conscious of the capacity limit that has been set forth. Note that all viewing and celebration of life services will be limited to the allowed number of visitors at any one given time.
