William Watson

LOWELL - William "Bill" Watson, 82, a long time resident of the City of Lowell, died Saturday morning May 28, 2011, in Palm Manor Nursing Home, Chelmsford, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Erika (Wagner) Watson who predeceased him on May 28, 2007. Born in Lowell October 15, 1928, he was a son of the late James C. and Esther M. (Aunchman) Watson. He received his education in the Lowell school system. An honorably discharged and retired veteran, he served his country for over 20 years in the Army of the United States. He served during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Following his military career, Mr. Watson was employed as a mechanic by New England Telephone for 20 years. Mr. Watson cherished the time he spent in the company of his family. Surviving him are three daughters Erika Jusczak and her husband Richard of Dracut, Cresentia Wright of Hudson, NH, and Sylvia Dombrowski and her husband Paul of Pelham, NH; five grandchildren, William Erik Wright, Sara and Brandon Jusczak, Jared and Kyle Dombrowski; four great grandchildren Collin Wright, Devon Wright, Kayla Wright and Triston Wright; two sisters Esther Prud'homme and her husband Joseph and Gerry Metzler all of Lowell; one brother James Watson and his wife Claire of Florida; many nephews and nieces. He was also the brother of the late Duncan and Danny Watson.
