NORTH BROOKFIELD- Elaine F. Lindsay,83, died peacefully on Thursday, September 28,2017 surrounded by her loving family at home. She leaves her loving husband of 61 years Richard J. Lindsay; 6 children Donna Bowser & her husband Robert, Susan Gustafson & her husband Mark, Deborah Snyder & her husband Scott, Richard Lindsay,Jr. & his wife Linda, James Lindsay & his wife Sharyn and Robert Lindsay & his wife Barbara; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Raymond Porter and a sister Cecile Porter, a Nun with the Order of St.Ann. Elaine was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Clarence and Yvonne (Auger) Porter and has lived over 44 years in North Brookfield. She graduated from St.Stevens High School in 1952 and was active in sports and cheerleading. Upon graduation she worked at the Wyman Gordon Co. in Worcester. Elaine was a longtime member of St.Josephs Church where she was active in the Renew Group. She was an avid candlepin Bowler and also enjoyed visiting the National Parks,Switzerland and taking many cruises. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 2,2017 from 6-8PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home (RTE 9 ) 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield. The funeral will be held on Tuesday with a Mass at 10:30AM in St.Josephs Church 296 N.Main St. North Brookfield. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
