SHREWSBURY- Francis P. (Pat) Tighe Jr.- of Shrewsbury, MA.(formerly of South Barre/ Gilbertville, MA.) died peacefully on September 6, 2017. His beloved wife Kathleen E. Tighe predeceased him in November 2016. They are now reunited in Heaven for eternity.
He leaves two daughters: LaDonna Kathleen Sanetti (Dudley, MA.); Regina Celeste Sanetti-Dunn (Bellingham, MA.), and his devoted son-in-law Myles Alexander Dunn (Bellingham, MA.); two sons; Cpt. Steven Michael Tighe (retd. Millburn, NJ. FD) and his wife Laurie Tighe (Glen Gardner, NJ.); Kevin Francis Tighe (retd. Millburn NJ. FD) and his wife Suzette Tighe (PA.); sisters Ellen Grawehr (East Hanover, NJ.); and Nancy Culleton (Middletown, NJ.); Granddaughter; Melissa Cie Ingerson and her children Anthony, Andre and Mariella DeJesus (Worcester, MA.), Granddaughter Dorian Chenevert (Southbridge, MA.); her children Deidra Lemay (Putnam, CT.), Kyle Chenevert (Southbridge, MA.), Cheyenne Chenevert and Dakota Chenevert (Auburn, MA.); Grandson SPC Joseph Carl and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Sophia (Bethlehem, PA.); Grandson Ryan Matthew Tighe (Glen Gardner, NJ.); Grandson SPC Ryan Edward US Army (Frederick, MD.); Granddaughter Meagan Rose Tighe (Glen Gardner, NJ.); Grandson Daniel Jacob (Glen Gardner, NJ.); Grandson Kevin Tighe Jr. (New Brunswick, NJ.); Grandson Daniel Tighe (Union, NJ.); and Grandson Sgt. Micheal Joseph Tighe US Army (VA.); and numerous nieces and nephews. His sister Rosemary Butkus predeceased him in 1984.
He was born in Summit, NJ., September 2, 1933 the son of the late Francis P. Tighe Sr., and the late Mary Ellen (Eakley) Tighe and lived in Millburn, NJ. all his life before moving to Massachusetts in 1981.
Mr. Tighe graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in West Orange, NJ. He was in the M.P. Division of the New Jersey National Guard for eight years during the Korean Conflict. He was a tractor-trailer driver for 30 years before retiring due to a disability. Mr. Tighe was a volunteer firefighter for 28 years in both Millburn, NJ. and Millbury, MA., also taking part as an instructor in the Junior Fire Marshall program. He was an avid hunter and fisherman having lifetime memberships in both the Hardwick, MA., and South Barre, MA., Rod and Gun Clubs. He will be dearly missed.
There are no calling hours, cremation will be held at the family's convenience.
