NEW BRAINTREE- Karin Cooke, of New Braintree and a longtime resident of Exeter, NH , died on Sunday September 10, 2017 in Mary Lane Hospital after a brief battle with lung cancer. Karin was born on November 9, 1952 the daughter of Frank and Marjorie Cooke of North Brookfield, MA. She attended the University of New Hampshire studying her passion, Horticulture. After graduation, she opened her own business, "From Here to There" , specializing in shipping antiques around the world. Karin loved all animals, especially birds, and nature and had an ability to dive into whatever she was passionate about, from Orchids and Day Lillies to music and cooking. Most recently, Karin combined her passions for nature, plants and the arts to embrace the craft of pressing flowers, becoming a Petal Sister within the community. Most of all, Karin loved her family and friends, creating special and unique gifts for them. Karin is survived by her husband, Rick Forshay; siblings Suzi Slater and Bill Cooke & his wife Sarah Moon; a son Christian Cooke, and step-children Abigail and Ben Forshay. She is the aunt of Lori Farmer, Matthew Slater, Jessica Clayburgh and Janna Clayburgh. She is predeceased by her beloved sister Diane Tuppeny. Funeral Service are private. Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield is directing arrangements.
