STURBRIDGE- Margaret S. (Filler) Robertson- went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2017.
Margaret was resident of Rivermead retirement community in Peterborough New Hampshire where she had lived since 2015. She was born to Roy R. Sheats and to Lida (Confer)Sheats on December 19,1926. She was a graduate of Mill Hall High School. She was married to Irvin "Mike" Filler for over 50 years before his passing in 1999 and then in 2003 married William Graemme Robertson until his passing and 2004. Margaret was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met. Margaret was a library assistant at Tantasqua Regional Junior High and Merrick Public Library in Brookfield, a member of the Brookfield Garden Club and on the Brookfield Apple Country Fair committee, before retiring and traveling throughout the United States.
She was a member of the East Brookfield Baptist Church for over 30 years where she served as a Sunday school superintendent, Deaconess, vacation bible school director, women's ministry leader and on various other committees where she served the church family faithfully. Margaret enjoyed sewing,quilting,reading,spending time with her "sistern" at the beach or mountains of Rumney New Hampshire and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Margaret leaves her daughter Jean (Filler) & her husband George Streicher of Jaffrey,NH; grandchildren Joshua Streicher & his wife Jennifer of Peterborough,NH, Benjamin Streicher of Jaffrey,NH, Jonathan Streicher & his wife Kayla of Rindge,NH; her son Brian Filler & his wife Jennifer; grandchildren Andrew, Aidan and only granddaughter Ashlyn Filler of Sturbridge.
Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour on October 5, 2017 from 11:30am- 12:30pm in the East Brookfield Baptist Church 262 Main St. East Brookfield. The funeral will follow at 12:30 led by Pastor John Lindsey. A collation will be held after the service in the church hall.
