BARRE- Marion G. (Barnes) Jannette ,92, died peacefully on October 13, 2017. Her husband John J. Jannette died in 1999. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Molly (Kelley) Barnes and grew up in North Brookfield. She leaves her son Joseph & his wife Anne of North Brookfield; granddaughters Abigail Rigney & her husband Richard, Ashley Sturges & her husband Gregory, Rachael Zanni & her husband Gregory; 9 great grandchildren; Noah, Madeleine, Lillian, Andrew, Jillian, Maxwell, Sydney, Grace and Baby Zanni; a sister-in-law and friend Clarice Jannette. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Colleen Sherman and her 3 siblings, Frances, George and Florence Barnes. For nearly 40 years Marion and John ran their family clothing store “Jannette’s” in Barre. Marion enjoyed and appreciated their customers many who became dear friends. She loved her home, her community and her wonderful neighbors. Most of all she cherished her time spent with family. She looked forward to weekends and getting to visit with everyone especially the children. The family would like to thank the staff at Overlook Healthcare and Overlook Hospice for their kindness, care and support for Marion while she was a resident there. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 with a Mass at 11:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church South St. Barre. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 in Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. .
