BARRE- Wallace Benjamin Strong Jr. ,72, died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 11,2017.  Wally is survived by his sisters Jane Marie White and her husband Donald of Rutland,MA., Marjorie Mae Belhumeur of Worcester  and several nieces & nephews. He is  predeceased by his sisters Evelyn Stephens and Beverly Strong and his brother Charles Strong all of Barre. He was born on September 17, 1944 in Holden, MA to Annie and Wallace Strong and graduated from Barre High School Class of 1961. Wally served in the US Army and worked in a heel factory before retiring when he was 62.  He moved a few years ago to Grandview Terrace and enjoyed reconnecting with town residents he knew years ago. The family would like to thank the Housing staff, Elder Services of Worcester and Meals on Wheels for their support and kindness in helping Wally.  Funeral service will be private. Burial will be in St.Josephs Cemetery in Barre. Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre i directing arrangements.
