SPENCER- Wayne E. Day,78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday March 5,2017. Wayne is survived by his doting wife of more then 50 years, Patricia, eldest son Duane, 2 daughters Traci and her husband Russell Schlegel and Kimberly; a sister Sharon Letendre of Largo, FL, and 9 grandchildren. Wayne was predeceased by son Raymond and brother Raymond "Bud" Day. Born in Presque Isle, Maine, he has been a resident of Spencer for 70 years. Wayne was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and worked for Flexcon for 30 years. He loved bowling, fishing, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. At the family's request services will be private. Pillsbury Funeral Home 163 Main St. Spencer is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital.
