WARREN- William "Bill" E. Smith Sr., 81, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 30, 2017. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Beverly Smith, a brother Thomas Smith and granddaughter Mandie Hewitt. He is survived by his 4 children William Smith Jr., Barbara Olearczyk, Patricia Smith and Russell Smith; 6 grandchildren Nathan and Alexis Olearczyk, Kayla Smith, Sean Miller, Greg and Edward Mello;a great grandaughter Makenzie Mello; a brother Robert Smith and his wife Jan; and 2 half-brothers Chuck and David Mundell.
 Bill attended Ware High School and was a US Army Veteran serving in Germany. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church. Bill worked for many years at the American Athletic Shoe Company in Ware, MA and retired from Quabaug Rubber Co. in North Brookfield.
 Bill enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid viewer of New England sports, playing cards and fishing at the Quabbin with his sons. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 15,2017 at 11:00AM in St.Pauls Church 1082 Main St. in Warren. Burial will follow with Military Honors in the parish cemetery. Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield is directing arrangements.
