Annette Minichiello

Annette (Antonetta) Libra (Fuccillo) Minichiello of Revere, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to so many, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Brigham&Women's Hospital on June 9, 2017. Just after midnight on Friday, June 9 due to cardiac complications. Anne was the daughter of the late Anthony Fuccillo and Raffael (D'Avolio) Fuccillo. She was sister of Carmen Fuccillo, Frank Fuccillo, Helen (Fuccillo) Freda, Francis (Fuccillo) Manzione, Fay (Fuccillo) O'Brien and Emma (Fuccillo) Mastrolia– all deceased. She is the mother of Ralph Minichiello and the late Rocco Minichiello.

Annette was born December 18, 1929 in Everett, MA, the youngest of seven children and graduated from Everett High School as the head cheer leader in 1946. While in high school she had her picture published in LOOK magazine. She worked as a paralegal then as a social worker for FEMA doing disaster relief and finally as a social services coordinator for Revere Housing Authority, a job she held for 20+ years and from which she eventually retired. In recent years, Annette worked providing therapy and 1:1 counseling with Pyramid Builders and Greater Malden Behavioral Services. She had a generous, kind heart and got tremendous pleasure from helping people from all walks of life (and taking credit for it). She enjoyed music, dancing, travel, fashion and making connections with people. A marvelous cook, Anne showed her true artistry in the kitchen. It was her family, however, that gave her the greatest joy and pleasure in life. With her incredible capacity for love, she had a knack for making people feel welcome and truly stretching and redefining what family means. Combining her two great loves of food and family made holidays and Sunday dinners a wonderful experience.

Anne is survived by her son Ralph Minichiello and his partner Carol Swetow, daughter-in-law Linda Thomas and her husband Steven Thomas, grandchildren Robin Minichiello Thomas, Marco Minichiello, Mia Minichiello and Allison Thomas and great granddaughter, Lily Thomas.
