Beverly Hayden

Beverly A. (Lundquist) Hayden, age 82, of Shrewsbury died peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was the wife of the late Warren W. Hayden with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Beverly is survived by her six children; Deborah M. Hatheway and her husband Darwin of Woodbury, MN, William S. Hayden of Shrewsbury, Karen A. Kirwan of Worcester, Warren D. Hayden and his wife Beth of Shrewsbury, Judith E. Forest and her husband Bradley of Rutland, and Matthew A. Hayden and his wife Brenda of Holden; 18 grandchildren; Alexander, Elizabeth, and Robert Hatheway, Katherine Dungar; Robert and Nicholas Hayden, David, Christopher and James Kirwan, Warren, Aaron and Jacob Hayden, Kristen McAuliffe, Matthew and Julia Forest, and Connor, Thomas and Emily Hayden; and 5 great grandchildren, Gregory, Delaney, Cooper, Chloe, and Addison. Born in Lynn, Mass. in 1936, the daughter of the late Sven E. and Evelyn (McDonald) Lundquist, Beverly was raised in Miami, FL where she graduated from Miami Senior High School in 1954. While raising her six children, Beverly volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and den mother. She was also a member of Saint Mary of the Hills Church, the Shrewsbury Garden Club, Shrewsbury Women’s Club, and enjoyed scrapbooking. Beverly worked for many years at Jordan Marsh in various positions, retiring as their Bridal Consultant. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, especially holidays and Super Bowl Sunday. She was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader. Beverly had a love for animals, in particular cats and dogs. Upon retirement, she and Warren enjoyed raising and showing Boxers. Beverly’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center staff for their care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 with her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross Street, Boylston. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA, 01606.
