Obituary for Doris L. Laroche

Southbridge...Doris L. (Blanchet) Laroche, 79, Morris Street, died Wed., Jan. 12th, at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 57yrs. Roland Laroche. They were married April 11, 1953. She also leaves her 3 children Dennis Laroche and his wife Donna of Douglas, MA, Donald Laroche and his wife Judith of Dudley, and Louise Bachand and her husband Michael of Southbridge, 6 grandchildren Christopher Laroche, Kimberlie Guillemette, Stephanie Laroche, Danny Laroche, Derek Bachand, and Andrew Bachand, and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Jeannine Lambert of Southbridge, and nieces and nephews.

Doris was born in Southbridge, April 10, 1931, daughter of Luc and Bernadette (Thibeault) Blanchet and lived here all her life. She was a member of Notre Dame Church, and graduated from the former Notre Dame High School Class of 1948. Doris was employed as a secretary for G.J. Lapierre Construction for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, cross-stitching, going to the casino, and fishing, and she and her husband were longtime campers at Fisherman's Memorial in Point Judith, RI.

The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 15th, from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy St. Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery N. Woodstock Rd. Southbridge. Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 14th, from 6-8PM.
