Southbridge...George R. Livernois, age 83 ,of Fairmont Ave. died Sunday at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 62yrs. Christine L. (Augusto) Livernois. They were married Jan. 19, 1946. He is survived by a son Clifford and his wife Ann Livernois of Southbridge, 6 grandchildren Lori A. Duff of Warren, Michelle L. Caplette of Leicester, Michael Livernois of Dudley, Vicky Mominee, Shawn Livernois, Lisa Maysonet all of Southbridge, and 11 great-grandchildren, a brother Joseph Livernois of Southbridge, and 3 sisters Gertrude and her husband Arthur Meredith of Southbridge, Theresa and her husband Normand Capistrand of Southbridge, Louise and her husband Robert Lavallee of Torrance, CA, and a daughter in law Paulette (St. Martin) Livernois of Southbridge. He was predeceased by a son Robert Livernois who died Jan. 10, 2001. He was born in N. Woodstock, son of Armand and Lorina (LaRochelle) Livernois, and lived here most of his life.. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving on the USS Nitro. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and the USS Nitro Association, he also retired from the American Optical Co. where he worked for many years.
The funeral will be Thursday (Dec. 18th) from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy St. (handicap entrance on Edward St.) Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 30 Charlton St. Burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4-6PM
