Holland....Gerard A. "Gerry" Caouette, 65, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, after being stricken ill at home. His wife of 39 years was the late Patricia L. Reynolds-Caouette who died in 2009. He leaves a daughter Danielle Parrettie and her husband Jonathan of Holland, a son John Germain of Worcester, 2 grandchildren Mackenzie and Peyton Parrettie. He also leaves a brother Marcel Caouette and his wife Karen of Southbridge, and two sisters Therese Sylvestre and her husband Russell of Delray Beach, FL, and Louise Diman and her husband Kenneth of Ashland, VA, many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Ernest and Aline (Farland) Caouette. He graduated in 1967 from the former Marianhill Central Catholic High School, and Wisconsin State University/Superior. He owned G.A.C. Builders for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter for the towns of Southbridge and Holland, and also was a volunteer for the Brimfield Ambulance Service. He also was once the Dep. Chief for the Holland Police Dept. Gerry enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping, and NASCAR.
The funeral will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM at Saint Mary's Church 263 Hamilton Street Southbridge.
