Southbridge...Pauline M. (Cote) Gagnon, 73 of Morris St. died Wed. Jan.14th at Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Worcester. She leaves 2 sons: Rev. Jean-Paul Gagnon of Webster, and Donald Gagnon of Southbridge, and 3 daughters Paulette LaBerge of El Cajon, CA, Debora Archambault of Charlton, Joyce Lamica of Southbridge, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Doris Fournier of Southbridge and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Richard Gagnon who died in 1980, her former husband Rene Gagnon who died in 2004, and 2 brothers Russell Cote and Joseph Alfred Cote. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Louis and Irene (Peck) Cote, and lived here all her life. She was an active member of Notre Dame Church, and its Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, she also served on the Parish Council, the Liturgy Committee and taught CCD for many years. She also served as a leader of Boy Scout Den #160 and also a Girl Scout Leader. Mrs.Gagnon graduated from the former Mary E. Wells High School Class of 1954, and Quinsigamond College, and retired from the American Optical Company where she worked for over 25yrs. She enjoyed crocheting, and puzzle making, but most enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love of little babies. The funeral will be Monday Jan. 19th from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy St. Southbridge with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday Jan. 18th from 2-6PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame Church Restoration Fund 61 Marcy St. Southbridge, Ma 01550 or to the Summit ElderCare 88 Masonic Home Road
