Southbridge-Claire C. (Lafleche) Perry, age 84, of 35 Lens Street , Southbridge , passed away on Monday, March 2 surrounded by her loving family after being stricken at home.
She was born in Southbridge , a daughter of Alfred and Cecilia Lafleche. She was the widow of George Elzear Perry, the love of her life, who predeceased her in 1988 after 41 years of marriage.
She leaves two sons, Bernard Perry and his wife Sue of Maryland, Paul Perry and his wife Diane of Dudley and two daughters, Louise Perry of Southbridge , with who she resided and Jeanne Lynskey and her husband Paul of Webster. She leaves her siblings, Theresa Langlois of Florida, Anita Prunier of Oxford, Marie Labonte of Southbridge, Richard Lafleche of Southbridge, and Robert Lafleche of Sturbridge. In addition, she leaves seven grandchildren, Michael Livernois, Vicki Mominee, Marc Perry, Coral Ruggiero, Gregory Lynskey, Vanessa Lynskey, and Daniel Perry and five great grandchildren, Brittany Green, Kori Mominee, Seth Livernois, Jake Mominee, and Kassandra Perry. She was predeceased by siblings Alfred, Andre, Emil, Albina, and Jean Paul. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was once employed by the American Optical and retired from McLellans Department Store many years ago. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Mrs. Perry's funeral will be Friday, March 6, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., Southbridge, with a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Charlton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, North Woodstock Road (Route 169), Southbridge. Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at the funeral home.
