Obituary for Stanley C. Astukiewicz

Spencer...Stanley c. Astukiewicz, 61, of E. Charlton Rd. died at home Tuesday after a brief illness. He leaves his wife of 35yrs. Anthanette "Ann" (Jenese) Astukiewicz, and 2 daughters Jessica Willis of Westborough and Melissa Astukiewicz of Spencer, and 2 grandchildren Jonathan Churchey, and Meaghan Willis. He also leaves 4 brothers Wayne Caouette and his wife Denise of Waynesboro, PA, , Bruce Caouette and his wife Cookie of Atlanta, Georgia, Lee Caouette and his wife Jerri of Pomfret, CT, Brian Caouette and his wife Gail of Columbus, Georgia, and a sister Sue Ann Caouette of Southbridge. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Stanley C. Astukiewicz Sr. and F.Marie (Piche) Astukiewicz Caouette. Stanley's father died when he was 5yr. old. He was raised by his mother and her husband Albert Caouette, whom he considered his father. Stanley was a member of St.Hedwig's Church and the DeTriana Council Knights of Columbus. He was employed by the K of C as the club "manager", and was also an insurance agent for the K of C . He worked for many years as a manager of the Fair Dept. Stores, and later for Ames Dept. Store. He graduated from the former Marianhill Central Catholic High School class of 1966 and he also attended Nichols College. He enjoyed golf, and "vacationing with the boys". The funeral will be Saturday (March 21) from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM in St. Hedwig's Church Everett St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig's Cemetery N. Woodstock Road Southbridge. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
