Denise A. “Dee Dee” Smith (LaVallee) 68, of West Springfield MA entered into eternal rest on Dec. 2, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at Baystate Medical Center. Denise was born Sept. 17, 1952 to the late Napoleon J. and Cecile (Giroux) LaVallee. She grew up in Enfield, CT and lived majority of her life in West Springfield, MA. She was known for her jokester personality, sarcastic sense of humor and her caring, selfless heart. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, poker and trips to the casino. Her fondest memory was a concert to see Kenny Rogers. She truly loved the time spent with her daughters and grandchildren most. She is survived by her three daughters Marcie Aubin and her husband Brad, Denise Bramlett and her husband Steve, and Amanda Smith, all of West Springfield, MA; seven grandchildren Bailee Smith, Luke Magni, Noah and Chloe Bramlett, Alyza Drollet, Logan Aubin and Emma Berard; the father of her children, Mark A. Smith of Salisbury NC; two brothers Ronald LaVallee and his wife, Tina of Somers CT, Roger LaVallee and his wife, Trisha of Enfield CT; one sister, Linda Lukas and her husband Paul, of Suffield CT; and several nieces and nephews. Denise was predeceased by her three brothers Paul, Richard, and Robert LaVallee; and a sister, Cynthia Prass. Denise’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Baystate Heart and Vascular for their wonderful and compassionate care. Denise’s wishes were to withhold public funeral services. The family will be in touch regarding a future celebration of her life when relatives and friends can gather safely.
