Springfield - Johnny Arroyo Galindez, 88, departed this life on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020. Johnny was born in Manati, Puerto Rico, on April 15th, 1932, to his parents Juan Arroyo and Mercedes Galindez. Johnny enjoyed watching horse racing. As well as his wife, he was also his grandchildren's #1 fan while they played softball. He would go watch them play every Sunday and never missed a game. He enjoyed coaching his own softball team and assisting other teams. He loved the Boston Red Sox! He will be missed by the Slow Pitch Softball League. Johnny was predeceased by his wife: Virginia Arroyo; his parents; Five Brothers; and 4 Sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter: Awilda Arroyo; his son: Johnny Arroyo, Jr.,; Four Brothers: Carlos Manuel Arroyo, Manuel Arroyo, Heriberto Arroyo and Julio Arroyo; Two Sisters: Luz Eneida Arroyo and Evahelina Arroyo; Three Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
