Mercedes was born on June 13, 1957, in the city of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic. Alcadio and Mercedes got married in 1977 and then started a family. Alcadio made a lifelong promise to Mercedes to provide a secure, loving and stable home for their family. Alcadio was a focused and dedicated businessman, while Mercedes was a devoted wife and mother who stayed at home and nurtured her children. In 1998, Alcadio brought his family to the U.S. for a better future and spent the next couple of years living in Manhattan, New York. Later in 2001, the family moved to Springfield, MA where they were welcomed with open arms. Their family continued to grow and they were blessed with seven grandsons and a granddaughter. They were well known throughout the community due to their customer service, volunteering efforts, and their delicious homemade food. Throughout the years, they created lifelong friendships and priceless memories that will be treasured for years to come.
