Springfield - Ramon "Papotin" Maisonet, 65, passed away Thursday, November 12th, 2020. Ramon was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on March 6th, 1955, to his parents Ramon Maisonet and Rojelia Machicote. Papotin loved his music and playing his congas. Throughout the years he played with several bands. He always instilled the love for music and culture to his children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Ramon was predeceased by his parents. Ramon was very much loved and he will be missed. Ramon leaves to cherish his memories, his companion of many years: Ruth Figueroa, his Daughter: Kathiria Maisonet and her husband Toussaint, Five Sons: Ramon M. Maisonet, William M. Maisonet, Harold J. Martinez, Daniel Maisonet and Jose Antonio Maisonet, Four Brothers: Raul Maisonet, Reinaldo Maisonet, Roberto Maisonet and Wilfredo Maisonet, Three Sisters: Margarita Maisonet and her husband, Juan Pagan, Sonia Cruzado and her husband, Miguel A. Cruzado, Sr., and Maria Maisonet and her husband, Miguel Acosta-Laboy, Nine Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Calling Hours will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA, followed by his burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA.
