Scott Jackson of Palmer passed away on February 8, 2021. Scott was born on November 2, 1966, in Holyoke and was a 1984 graduate of Holyoke High School. “Scotty” grew up in Holyoke, attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, spent many summers playing baseball and soccer in the HYL and medaled at numerous area YMCA swim meets. Scott played basketball and football for Holyoke HS and football at Westfield State College. His love of football led him to coaching several high school teams including his high school alma mater and he enjoyed attending Patriots' games with his brother Skip.
After serving 4 years in the Navy as a SEAL apprentice, specializing in underwater demolitions, Scott traveled the country managing various Starbucks locations until he started his own Marketing company, J & J Diversified. Soon after, he joined forces with TCI, a Marketing Firm where he was the Lead Marketing Consultant for over 20 years. There he managed several fundraising campaigns supporting police and fire departments throughout the Northeast.
Scott was a great guy with a big heart who spent his life encouraging and mentoring young people in his community. He will be missed beyond measure. Scott is survived by his parents, Garfield Jackson and Loretta Jackson; brother Walter “Skip” Jackson (Sandra); sister Michelle (Jackson) Moye; nephews Brandon Moye, Jovan Jackson, Issaiah Jackson; nieces Jordan (Moye) Burgess and Olivia Moye.
