Springfield– Tomas Mateo De Jesus, 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14th, 2020. Tomas was born in Villa Riva, Dominican Republic, on September 15th, 1950, to Emilio Mateo Morales and Rafaela De Jesus Germán. Tomas was very much loved by all his family and friends. He was very hard working, humble, honest and always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed. Tomas was predeceased by his parents and Two Brothers: Cesar and Carmelo Lopez De Jesus. Tomas leaves to cherish his memories, his son: Salomon Mateo, Four Daughters: Ana M. Mateo, Margarita Mateo, Marilin Mateo and Elisa A. Mateo, Five Sisters: Agueda Mateo De Jesus, Dolores Mateo De Jesus, Juana Mateo De Jesus, Alida Mateo De Jesus and Leonides Mateo De Jesus, Eleven Grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Visitation hours will be on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, September, 22, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA, followed by a burial at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA.
