Obituary for Antonio D'Amico

A Funeral Mass for Antonio "Tony" D'Amico, 78, will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.Mr. D'Amico, born in Sant' Eufemia a Maiella, Italy. He came to the United States at age seventeen and became a life long resident. Tony served with the rank of Cpl. in the US Army. He worked for B.F. Goodrich Co. in Watertown, and retired after 23 years as a Postal Clerk in the Newtonville Post Office. Tony and his family summered at the family home in Marshfield; he loved to cook and loved his garden. He would travel often back to his birth place in Italy, which he was proud of his Italian heritage and also proud of his American heritage. He was married for 49 years to his beloved wife Elda (DiGiovine). Devoted father of Diana Kobus of Marlborough, Aldo D'Amico of Southborough and Marco D'Amico of Seattle, WA. Loving grandfather of Brianna & Sara Kobus, and Anna & Anthony D'Amico. He is the late brother of Frank D'Amico and Eleonora Mancini. A Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St, Watertown on Wednesday at 8 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of Saint Patrick 212 Main St. Watertown at 9 o'clock. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.Visiting hours in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
