Obituary for Bernard Francis Walsh

A Funeral Mass for Bernard F. Walsh will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown at 9am.

Mr. Walsh passed away at the Chilton House, Cambridge on Friday evening, December 30, 2011. A son of the late Bernard P. & Catherine F. (O‚??Neil) Walsh. A life long resident of Watertown, graduating from Saint Patrick High School, Northeastern University class of 1961. He worked as a mail processor for the US Post Office, primarily in the South Boston Annex. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Watertown, Brunham-Manning VFW Post # 1105.

Mr. Walsh served in the US Army from May of 1951 until honorably discharged in May of 1954. He served during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal and National Defense Medal.

He was the devoted brother of the late John T. Walsh, Evelyn F. Conceison, & Catherine Walsh. Brother in-law of Joseph R. Conceison & cherished uncle of Kara Walsh Conceison both of Watertown. Loving friend for 36 years of Patricia K. Deveau of Watertown..

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. on Rt. 20, WATERTOWN on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 O‚??Clock in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Patrick‚??s Cemetery.
