Obituary for Doris Agnes DeStefano

A Funeral Mass for Doris Agnes (White) DeStefano, 85, will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2012 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mrs. DeStefano, a daughter of the late Dominic J. and Agnes F. (McCarthy) White, was born in Cambridge. She was a lifelong Watertown resident and a graduate of Saint Patrick High School. Mrs. DeStefano was devoted to her family and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. She died in the Belmont Manor Nursing Center on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 after a period of declining health.

She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Lawrence M. DeStefano; devoted mother of Lawrence M. DeStefano, Jr. of Natick, Geraldine R. DeFeo and her husband Donald of Medford, Stephen A. DeStefano and his wife Kiana of New Salem, Susan M. Copithorne of Arlington and David S. DeStefano of Watertown; dear sister of Robert J. White of Falmouth, Ruth F. Paolicelli of Waltham and Donald E. White (retired Watertown Fire Dept.) of Falmouth; and loving grandmother of Matthew, Andrew and Justine DeFeo, Molly and Amy Copithorne, Tyler, Nicole and Brianna DeStefano.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Friday at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 noon in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Final resting place will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday, February 9th from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the services.
